'M*A*S*H' vs. 'Catch-22'
Year: 1970
Premise: Black comedies set in war time
The Verdict: While both are deeply dark screwball looks at war, "M*A*S*H" was a huge hit, catapulting Robert Altman to fame and spawning one of the most successful TV shows of all time. "Catch-22" flopped, but isn't a bad flick. Still, edge goes to "M*A*S*H."
