These computer files are known as mp3 files, an audio encoding format. Music downloads have led to a decrease in sales at music stores.   1. Vince Gill Disappointed In Today's Country

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Vince Gill isn&rsquo;t happy with the direction country music is headed according to a recent interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The Country Music Hall of Fame member says he takes issue with some of today&rsquo;s country, saying, &ldquo;I would love to hear someone write a song like 'He Stopped Loving Her Today' rather than 'You're hot. I'm hot. We're in a truck.' It's just mind-numbing to me.&rdquo; The guitar slinger also states his disappointment in record sales across the board, noting that the value of music isn&rsquo;t what it used to be. Vince&rsquo;s western-swing band the Time Jumpers will release a new album this August.   10. New Lynyrd Skynyrd Album In August

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Southern rockers Lynyrd Skynyrd yesterday locked down an August 21 release date for their next studio album Last of a Dying Breed, the follow up to 2009&rsquo;s Gods &amp; Guns. Of the new collection of songs, guitarist Gary Rossington said, &ldquo;We kind of went back old school this time.     <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Alan Jackson will take the stage on the Grand Ole Opry May 8th, and plans to debut new songs from his forthcoming album Thirty Miles West. Alan tells fans, despite the changing times; his music has stayed the same. &ldquo;My voice has gotten a little deeper sounding to me, I think, &lsquo;cause I&rsquo;ve gotten older. I don&rsquo;t know that I&rsquo;ve changed that much musically.
