These computer files are known as mp3 files, an audio encoding format. Music downloads have led to a decrease in sales at music stores. In the 1980s, music videos became popular due to the launch of the Music Television (MTV) cable channel. A music video is a short film that accompanies a piece of music. « Show less

We were out on the road and Dallas was like, 'You play mandolin right Dave?' I was like, 'Yeah. But I mean, you can't write a song on the mandolin.' But we grabbed it and tried it. And gosh, I feel like within 30 minutes had a lot of the song structure laid out." Eric looks forward to helping fans make memories with his music. “I can remember being 16-years-old and going to a concert for the first time with a girl. There was a big group of us. When I hear those songs, I think about her. Music can be powerful enough that that was the soundtrack to whatever relationship we had in a two-week period, and I still think about her, you know? So, I think about that being the guy now that gets to stand on that stage. There are people out there that are living their own version of that in their own way.” Eric sings about his teenage concert experience in the song “Springsteen” on his album, Chief. <span style="font-size: small;">David Nail is back and better than ever with his second album, The Sound of a Million Dreams, which is out today. The album takes its name from a song on the project that struck a particular chord with David. “’Cause I think in, in essence, you know, it is the sound of a million dreams. 11. Memorable CMA Moments

<span style="font-size: small;">BRAD PAISLEY & CARRIE UNDERWOOD OPEN WITH A SONG OR THREE! Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood lived up to their promise not to pull any punches, starting the show by tweaking the Hank Williams, Jr. classic to “Are You Ready for an Awards Show?” However, Carrie was quick to nix it, due to recent ESPN drama, so the two tried their own take on “Family Tradition,” with a slight change to “Hank, why do you drink? Before an interview. Why do you roll smoke? Before an interview.” The song was interrupted, though, when Bocephus himself entered to a standing ovation and joined the two to finish the “All My Rowdy Friends” CMA Awards remix. Then, the co-hosts celebrated their fourth year hosting with gifts – Brad got the Faith Hill Barbie; Carrie, the Tim McGraw – and proceeded to have the dolls makeout with one another, while a blushing Faith and laughing Tim watched from the audience. To start the awards presentation, Brad and Carrie introduced Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet, who insisted on one more song, ala Randy Travis, “I’m Gonna Love You for 72 Days, Amen.” Then, using the forever bench mark set by Kim Kardashian’s 72-day marriage, the duo converted country marriages to “forevers” with Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s 179 day marriage adding up to almost two “forevers.”
