  2. The 84th Annual Academy Awards

    <a class=&quot;runtimeTopic" href="#">George Clooney</a>, Brad Pitt, Rooney Mara and&mdash;yes and no&mdash;Bridesmaids. Billy Crystal's got his marching orders--and his monologue fodder. Here are the highlights from this morning's Academy Awards nominations: As expected, heavy favorite The Artist will compete for Best Picture; however, it was Martin Scorsese's Hugo scoring the most overall nods, with 11 to The Artist's 10. No other film was in the double digits. The Artist and Hugo lead a Best Picture field that ended up with nine nominees. The other contenders: The Descendants, The Help, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball, The Tree of Life, War Horse, and from left field, the A-list-laden, but awards-season non-factor (up 'til just now) Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. The Best Actor race finds pals Clooney and Pitt, up for The Descendants and Moneyball, respectively. Jean Dujardin (The Artist), Screen Actors Guild nominee Demi&aacute;n Bichir (A Better Life) and dark horse Gary Oldman (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) are also nominated. The Best Actress category sets the stage for the anticipated Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady) and Viola Davis (The Help) showdown. My Week With Marilyn's Michelle Williams is in the game, too, as is The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's Mara. Melissa McCarthy represents for Bridesmaids in Best Supporting Actress. The comedy, passed over for Best Picture, also snagged an Original Screenplay nod for star Kristen Wiig and cowriter Annie Mumolo. The 84th Annual Academy Awards, with returning host Crystal, are set for Feb. 26.

  3. Tracy Morgan Hospitalized at Sundance

    <a class=&quot;runtimeTopic" href="#">Tracy Morgan</a> remains in a Utah hospital after falling unconscious at the Sundance Film Festival, ABC News reports. The 30 Rock star had been attending an awards ceremony before he was rushed to the Park City Medical Center. So what happened? The former Saturday Night Live star was being honored at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards. According to the Hollywood Reporter and TMZ, the 43-year-old funnyman was escorted outside after giving his speech. At that point, Morgan collapsed. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and Morgan was brought to Park City Medical Center. The comic is a diabetic and received a kidney transplant two years ago. Morgan's film Predisposed, which also stars Jesse Eisenberg and Melissa Leo, is being screened at the festival. Morgan's rep could not immediately be reached for comment.

    Born and raised in the Midwest, you might find it funny that Tori ventured to Houston, TX to record a song and video, called 2:00 Love, which was nominated for a Texas Music and Video Award in 1984! She then took the show on the road and ended up on the West Coast for a few years. The wanderlust in her then sparked her desire to travel all over the USA. After a few years and many miles, Tori decided it was time to come home. Ahhh the early 90's meant a new direction, so she sat and pondered long and hard about what she wanted to do when she grew up...and in an instant it was obvious...a radio DJ. PERFECT!   7. Gloriana Reacts to Cheyenne Leaving

    <span style=&quot;line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial', 'sans-serif'; font-size: 14pt;">Gloriana</span><span style="line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial', 'sans-serif'; font-size: 14pt;"> fans were surprised to hear via Twitter that Cheyenne Kimball was leaving the band this past weekend. But, the fans weren&rsquo;t the only ones who were shocked, the band&rsquo;s other members Mike &amp; Tom Gossin and Rachel Reinert were also hit with the news at the same time. Tom told the <em>Tennessean</em>, <em>&ldquo;This came as much of a surprise to us as it did everyone else&hellip;We were saddened and hurt&hellip;It feels almost like being left at the altar.&rdquo;</em> Apparently, Cheyenne never returned to the tour bus after their show o3n Friday night and, except for Twitter, the band hasn&rsquo;t heard from her since. Gloriana plans to continue their career as a trio and just released the music video for their single, &ldquo;Wanna Take You Home&rdquo;. Earlier this week, Cheyenne broke more big news on Twitter as she announced her engagement to musician Benji White.</span>

    <span style=&quot;line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 14pt;">Over the weekend several Gloriana fans were startled by tweets from the band&rsquo;s Twitter feed about Cheyenne Kimball leaving the group. Unsure whether or not the tweets were real or if the band had fallen victim to a hacker, some fans visited Cheyenne&rsquo;s personal Twitter page for answers. She posted, <em>&ldquo;</em></span><em><span style="line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 14pt;">Hey guys I will be tweeting from here now. Thank you so much for all of your support and welcome to my new home.&rdquo;</span></em><span style="line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 14pt;"> On the official Gloriana website, the remaining band members, Tom and Mike Gossin and Rachel Reinert posted a message saying that Cheyenne had, in fact, <em>&ldquo;chose to leave&rdquo;</em> the group and that they would <em>&ldquo;continue on&rdquo;</em> without her. They went on to wish their former band member <em>&ldquo;best of luck in whatever lies ahead for her.&rdquo;</em></span>

  9. Big Acts Booked for Vegas Festival

    <strong>&nbsp;</strong>Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood are among the first artists revealed for the first-ever <em>iHeartRadio Music Festival</em> in Las Vegas on September 23<sup>rd</sup>-24<sup>th</sup>. More artists from a variety of genres will be added all summer. The event will also feature the Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Coldplay and Lady Gaga, among many others. Hosted by Ryan Seacrest, the festival will be held at the <em>MGM Grand Garden Arena</em>. Presale tickets are available at the festival&rsquo;s Facebook page. Tickets to the public will be available on Saturday, July 16<sup>th</sup>.
