Paul McCartney is about to become the world's second-richest rock star. Bono is about to that honor. The U2 frontman owns 2.3 percent of the shares in Facebook which he obtained through his private equity firm Elevation Partners in 2009 for a reported $90 million. With this morning’s Facebook IPO and the company currently valued at over $100 billion, Bono stands to bank over $1.5 billion and puts his personal fortune well north of Sir Paul, who is currently the world’s wealthiest musician.
