The current Foreigner U.S. tour made a stop at the quaint and newly renovated Thunder Valley Casino just outside Sacramento, CA, minus Mick Jones, founder of the band and the group’s sole remaining original member. Despite Jones’ absence due to his continued recovery from heart surgery, the six guys onstage sent the sold-out crowd home happy after serving up faithful versions of hit after hit after hit, including “Feels Like the First Time,” “Cold as Ice,” “Long, Long Way From Home,” “Juke Box Hero,” “Hot Blooded,” “Urgent,” “Waiting for a Girl Like You,” “Double Vision” and the rousing set closer “I Want to Know What Love Is” featuring a local high school choir lending their vocals. However, debate continues in the forum on the band’s official website whether the current touring lineup of Foreigner is a fraud or the real deal.
