Pacers rally back in overtime to beat the Magic, take 3-1 series lead

George Hill's two free throws with 2.2 seconds left in overtime give the Pacers command in the first round series.

ORLANDO - A blowout was in the works, but there was a little Magic left in the Kingdom.

The Magic made a nearly 20-point Pacers lead evaporate in front of a blue clad Amway Arena crowd as the home team made up 19 points in the final eight minutes.

But the Pacers were able to overcome the late collapse, rallying to pick up an 101-99 overtime win over the Orlando Magic Saturday afternoon.

George Hill's two free-throws with 2.2 seconds to go gave Indiana the game-winning points in a back-and-forth overtime session.

The Pacers have a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven first round series as it head back to Indianapolis for a possible closeout game Tuesday night at Banks Life Fieldhouse.

It appeared that the Pacers would have an easy time getting another win in Orlando when they got a 19-point lead on a Danny Grangerlayup with 8:19 to go. But the Magic stormed back and tied the game on a three byJ.J. Redick with 38 seconds to go.

Both teams missed a chance to take the lead in the final seconds sending it into overtime.

Frank Vogel's team found themselves again at the beginning of overtime, scoring the first six points of the session to grab the lead. Orlando responded in kind, and when Jameer Nelson converted a three-point play the game was tied again at 96.

Both teams tied each other twice more before the Pacers got possession with fifteen seconds to go.  Hill drove inside the lane with five seconds to go and drew the foul converting both free throws to give Indiana the lead.

Orlando's Glen Davis had a chance to tie the game again but his shot was off the mark as time expired.
