    <strong>Showers and storms early Wednesday</strong> faded quickly leaving behind some locally heavy rain but nothing severe since midnight.&nbsp; <strong>A few more storms</strong> will roll across central and western Kansas Wednesday afternoon and evening then <strong>then our state drys out and really heats up.</strong>&nbsp; Highs by week's end and through early next week will soar into the mid-90s to around 100 degrees.
