  1. Rare Beatles Concert Footage at Center of New Lawsuit

    <span style=&quot;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: small;">Trying to make money off the <strong>Beatles</strong> without crossing every &ldquo;T&rdquo; and dotting every &ldquo;I&rdquo; can be an arduous process. Just ask the folks at Ace Arts, the company suing Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Apple Corps for blocking the release of their documentary, <em>The Beatles: The Lost Concert</em>, featuring footage from the Fab Four&rsquo;s February 11, 1964 concert at the Coliseum in Washington, DC. In a nutshell, Ace arts reached a distribution deal to screen the documentary in 500 theaters across the country before Sony/ATV and Apple Corps put the kibosh on the whole thing. Ace Arts claims the 35-minute video footage is in the public domain, but Sony/ATV, which owns the rights to certain Beatles songs, blocked the deal from moving forward.</span>

  3. Billy Joel Is Not Going To Retire

    There had been some recent speculation Billy Joel was contemplating retirement, but the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame singer/songwriter has put an end to that, announcing he&rsquo;ll perform at a few festivals later this month. The 63-year old told Rolling Stone, &ldquo;I&rsquo;m putting my toe back into the water to see how performing feels.&rdquo; He added, &ldquo;I got tired of doing the greatest hits set. If I was going to play again in places like New York, I would probably feature entire albums. I enjoy playing those more than I enjoy playing the hits&hellip;I&rsquo;m thinking we&rsquo;d do these shows in Philly, New York, Washington, DC, Detroit and Chicago.

  4. Eagles Will Tour This Summer

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Hoping to drum up additional sales of the upcoming DVD of their new documentary, The History of The Eagles (available April 30), the band has plotted out an 11-city North American tour, which will get underway July 6 in Louisville, KY. The trek will also take the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group into Milwaukee, Cleveland, Toronto, Ottawa, Philadelphia, Uncasville, CT, Boston, Washington, DC and Pittsburgh, before the tour also becomes a part of history following one final show on July 25 in Bethel, NY.</span>

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Longtime Eagles and James Gang guitarist Joe Walsh, whose 1991 solo album is titled Ordinary Average Guy, recently visited a group of extraordinary guys at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC. The musician sang songs, signed autographs and posed for plenty of <a href="http://joewalsh.com/media/photos/36073">pictures</a> with several wounded soldiers. Walsh wrote, &ldquo;Spent some time with some amazing and courageous soldiers who are in the Prosthetic Limb Ward. Incredible experience I will never forget.&rdquo;</span>

  7. Letterman Lands Led Zeppelin Interview

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">In the world of scoring television late show guests, getting the three surviving members of Led Zeppelin to sit down together for an ultra-rare joint interview could be the equivalent of hitting a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth to with the World Series. Rock fans worldwide will certainly be glued to their television sets tonight whenJimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones get together for an appearance on CBS&rsquo; Late Show with David Letterman. As of now, there is no plan for the band to perform, but the hope is they&rsquo;ll make an announcement about a future reunion, though again, nothing has been confirmed. But as the old saying goes, stay tuned &ndash; or in this case, tune in tonight and see. By the way, tonight's show will be broadcast from Washington, DC, where last night Led Zeppelin, Letterman and bluesman Buddy Guy were among the recipients of this year's Kennedy Center Honors, the nation's highest award for those who influenced American culture through the arts.</span>

  8. Dierks Bentley's Father Dies

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Dierks Bentley&rsquo;s father, Leon Bentley, passed away on in Phoenix at the age of 88. Dierks shared with fans on Twitter, &ldquo;It was an honor to comfort him as he left us. Thank you, fans, for the time and understanding.&rdquo; Dierks had already canceled a performance on Saturday night in Washington, D.C. due to his father&rsquo;s illness. Wednesday&rsquo;s fan club party in Nashville has been canceled as well. Dierks says his dad was one of the main reasons he got into playing country music. &ldquo;My dad's my biggest influence in country music, because my dad loved country radio, so we always drove around listening to country radio &ndash; George Strait and Hank Williams and Randy Travis and all those guys. So, without him, I wouldn't be doing this, for sure.&rdquo; Dierks plans to resume his performance schedule on June 9th.</span>
