    Depending upon where in the East you are is whether you have more opportunities of windows to make snow.  It's when the temperatures drop long enough for the snow sports resorts to make snow.  New England resorts have had those opportunities plus some snow dumps.  Vermont Resorts such as Sugarbush Resort, Stowe Mountain Resort, Smugglers' Notch Resort, Bolton Valley Resort, Burke Mountain Resort, Okemo Mountain Resort, Magic Mountain Resort, Bromley Mountain Resort, Mount Snow Resort and Suicide Six ski area have had the windows to make snow, and got the dumps.  So has their neighbors at Waterville Valley, Gunstock Mountain, Ski Cranmore, Wildcat, Loon Mountain and Attitash in New Hampshire, as well as Ski Butternut and Jiminy Peak in Massachusetts.  The colder climate enables these resorts to really cover their mountains with snow.
