  3. Hillary Scott is Engaged!

    Lady Antebellum&rsquo;s Hillary Scott and 24-year old drummer Chris Tyrell got engaged over the Fourth of July weekend! The couple told <em>People </em>exclusively that Chris popped the question at sunset over a lake in East Tennessee. Hillary said the two had just finished a hike and were in their work-out clothes when he <em>&ldquo;hit the knee.&rdquo;</em> The pair met and began dating in early 2010 as Chris played drums for Love and Theft, who was touring with Lady A on the Tim McGraw tour. Hillary admits she knew the relationship was something special from the very beginning. <em>&ldquo;There were so many nights where we would literally stay up until three and four in the morning talking on the phone (laughs). So, that was awesome and that was one of the first, I think, real signs of this relationship potentially leading somewhere.&rdquo;</em> In a statement to <em>People </em>magazine, the couple says, <em>&ldquo;We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!&rdquo;</em> A date has not yet been set for the wedding.

  5. Dolly Shops After Hours

    When she&rsquo;s not out touring or in the studio, Dolly Parton likes to sneak away and do a little shopping. But, it&rsquo;s not likely that you&rsquo;ll run into her at the store since she prefers to go &ldquo;after hours&rdquo;.&nbsp; <em>&ldquo;Usually if I do get a chance to go shopping anymore, I&rsquo;ll usually go after hours or ask if I can come earlier in the morning. But, I don&rsquo;t like to shop because I buy too much! But, every now and then, I will go to the grocery store for some particular thing. I just want to see what they got &lsquo;cause I love to cook!&rdquo;</em> Dolly just released her newest album, <em>Better Day</em>, featuring the single, &ldquo;Together You and I&rdquo;.   7. Loretta Lynn Cancels Due to Illness

    <strong></strong>Loretta Lynn has been forced to cancel one of her shows this coming weekend due to illness. The 76-year old won&rsquo;t be taking the stage at Sunday&rsquo;s <em>Jamboree in the Hills</em> in Ohio because she was recently admitted to the hospital for dehydration. Her home state of Tennessee has been experiencing extreme heat and this could have contributed to the legendary singer&rsquo;s illness. Other country artists appearing at the <em>Jamboree</em> this weekend include Toby Keith, Tim McGraw and Miranda Lambert.

  9. Trace Adkins' New Album

    Trace Adkins has revealed his next album, <em>Proud to Be Here</em>,<em> </em>will be released August 2nd.<em> </em>Trace&rsquo;s 13th studio album will feature his current single, &ldquo;Just Fishin&rsquo;,&rdquo; and will be a true representation of the country superstar&rsquo;s life. After losing his home in a fire only weeks ago, Trace reveals that the album and its title track, &ldquo;Proud To Be Here&rdquo; have taken on a whole new meaning, especially after recently losing his Tennessee home to a fire. <em>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s an autobiographical song anyway, because of some of the well-publicized near death experiences that I&rsquo;ve had, and now&mdash;if that had happened at three o&rsquo;clock in the morning, there may not be any of us here to tell about it.&nbsp; But it didn&rsquo;t.&nbsp; It happened at three o&rsquo;clock in the afternoon, and for that I am grateful.&rdquo;</em>&nbsp; The deluxe edition of the album will be available for presale on <em>iTunes</em> July 12th and will feature a new collaboration with Blake Shelton called &ldquo;If I Was a Woman.&rdquo;

  11. Details On Trace's House Fire

    More details are being uncovered about the fire that destroyed Trace Adkins&rsquo; Brentwood, Tennessee, home this past weekend. According to <em>The Tennessean</em>, <em>&ldquo;an overheated or loose electrical connection in a power strip&rdquo;</em> was the cause of the fire, which reportedly sparked in the country singer&rsquo;s garage. Trace says, <em>&quot;I have been blessed. My kids are ok, my wife is ok. I have my guitar and my songs. Everything else can be replaced</em>.&rdquo; Despite the tragedy, the show goes on for the &ldquo;Just Fishin&rsquo;&rdquo; singer, who will perform this week in Anchorage, Alaska and this weekend at the <em>CMA Music Festival.</em>

  13. Fire Destroys Trace Adkins' Home

    <span style=&quot;line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 14pt;">Trace Adkins</span><span style="line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 14pt;">&rsquo; home in Brentwood, Tennessee caught on fire Saturday afternoon. Everyone in the home, including the Adkins&rsquo; pets made it out safely but fire officials told the <em>Tennessean</em> that the home is a total loss. The blaze reportedly broke out when a dryer in the Adkins&rsquo; garage burst into flames. Trace was traveling at the time of the fire, as he was scheduled to perform in Alaska later this week. His children were home with their nanny while his wife Rhonda was out running errands. Trace&rsquo;s daughter Brianna told reporters with local TV station <em>WTVF</em>, <em>&ldquo;At first we were in the living room watching a movie and then the washer and dryer exploded in the garage.&rdquo;</em> Firefighters were still fighting the blaze hours after arriving on the scene. No word yet on whether or not Trace will still make scheduled appearances on Wednesday night in Alaska or this weekend at the <em>CMA Music Festival</em> in Nashville.</span>

    Kenny Chesney will premiere his new video for his latest single &ldquo;You and Tequila&rdquo; featuring <strong>G</strong>race Potter this Friday at 10:45PM Eastern on <em>CMT</em> and <em>CMT</em>.com.&nbsp;Though he didn&rsquo;t even meet Grace until recording on the single began, Kenny says from the moment he heard her voice, he knew she was the perfect singer to feature on such a special song.&nbsp; <em>&ldquo;I just fell in love with her voice a couple years ago, and didn&rsquo;t know how to get a hold of her.&nbsp; Finally did, and sent her the song.&nbsp; To me, that just shows you how powerful music can be.&nbsp; You can meet a girl like Grace Potter&mdash;never met her before&mdash;she grew up in Vermont, I grew up in Tennessee.&nbsp; And I never met her until she walked in the studio, but it was as if&mdash;when we started singing together&mdash;it was as if we&rsquo;d known each other our whole lives and it just worked. </em>&nbsp;In addition to the premiere, Kenny will take fans behind the scenes of the video and discuss the latest single from his album <em>Hemingway's Whiskey.</em>
