  11. Geraldine P. Kovack, 94, Somerset

    Geraldine P. Kovack, 94, Somerset, died April 22, 2013, at In Touch Hospice House. Born Sept. 26, 1918, in  Stoystown, she is the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Smith) Stern.  Also preceded in death by grandsons; Michael Willis and Chris Kovack, brothers and sisters; Margaret Kimmel, Jim Stern, Lois Kimmel and John Stern and daughter-in-law, Susan Kovack and her pet cat Frosty. Survived by children: Dennis Kovack, Carol (Kovack) Willis, Carolyn Kovack, Robert and Richard Kovack, married to the former Brenda Messenger; and Sonya Pugh and husband Richard, all of Somerset; grandchildren: Pami (Kovack) Drake and husband David, Skylar  Kovack and wife Janine, Michelle and husband Mark, Melissa and husband Chuck, Darlene (Heitchew) Baker and husband Tim, Mark Pugh, Rebecca Kovack, Megan (Kovack) Grey and Tonya Kovack and friend Steve DiBello; Skylar Kovack Jr. and wife Katie; and nine great-grandchildren. Member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Stoystown and was a retired psychiatric aide at Somerset State Hospital. Services will be private on Thursday at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home in Somerset, with Rev. Sharon Fox officiating.  Interment in Somerset County Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to In Touch Hospice House  P.O. Box 1173 Somerset, PA 15501 or Humane Society of Somerset County P.O. Box 182 Somerset, PA 15501. Condolences may be made at www.halversonfunerahome.com.
