  1. Civitans celebrate in Celtic style

Members of the Burbank Civitan Club once again rolled out the green carpet to members, guests and local dignitaries as they staged their annual St. Patrick's Day Champagne Brunch at the Castaway this past Sunday. A Burbank tradition, once celebrated at the now-gone Genio's Restaurant, this year saw over 250 Civitans and their supporters gather for the 41st time to honor the patron saint of Ireland, while also tipping their green derby hats to the organization's 57th year of service to the community.

  3. Bragh-ing Rights: Danú plays traditional Irish music on St. Patrick's Day at the Jorgensen Center

Even if you aren't Irish, you want to be able to say you rocked out with an authentic Irish band for St. Patrick's Day. The members of Danú, who hail from Waterford, Dublin, Kerry and Donegal counties, will put on a clinic for anyone not already indoctrinated into the traditional sounds of the Emerald Isle, and they might even pull off a couple of dance moves. It takes place in one of the best venues around for live music, so take advantage.
