  5. Swenson's Blog: Putting a bow on the high school track season

The 2013 KSHSAA State Track & Field Championships was a great meet just about any way you want to evaluate it. The weather, especially on Friday was “California-like” with temperatures in the 70s and light winds of three meters/second (approximately seven miles per hour) or less, with legal winds for many of Friday’s sprints, hurdles and horizontal jumps. Even on Saturday, although the wind picked up to 15 to 20 miles per hour at times, hindering the 200-meter times and making the run down the home stretch tough, it was at the back of the sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers and gave them an extra boost.
