In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Eric Clapton says he will cease doing long tours when he turns 70. The guitarist, whose new album, Old Sock, will arrive March 12, said, &ldquo;If I could play around my neighborhood that would be great. But for me, the struggle is the travel.     <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Carrie Underwood made a lasting impression while playing nearly 62 sold-out shows last year on her Blown Away Tour. The singer was named the top female country touring artist for 2012, by Pollstar&rsquo;s Year-End chart. Carrie performed for over a half a million fans this past year, and she also wrapped 2008 and 2010 as the top-ranked female country touring artist as well. She will launch the second leg of the Blown Away Tour on February 13th in Colorado Springs, with Hunter Hayes continuing as the special guest.</span>

  15. Fleetwood Mac to Kick off North American Tour April 4th

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">We now have actual dates, cities and venues confirmed for the long-awaited return of Fleetwood Mac. The band will start its next North American tour April 4 in Columbus, OH then crisscross America and Canada until the trek winds down June 12 in Detroit. Along the way, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers will visit major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Pittsburgh, Boston, Houston and Atlanta, among others. Stevie Nicks told Rolling Stone, &ldquo;It&rsquo;s the perfect time to go back out. 2013 is going to be the year of Fleetwood Mac. If everything goes well we&rsquo;ll be in Europe doing festivals this summer. Then we&rsquo;ll actually tour Europe, which is different than just doing festivals. Then we might do 15 or so shows in Australia.&rdquo;</span>

Millions enjoyed the group&rsquo;s world tour this year, almost as much as the band did themselves! In fact, Dave Haywood says the tour has had a huge impact on their songwriting as they prepare their next studio album. &ldquo;I think you know getting out and touring this year has kinda shed a new light for us as songwriters, on where we want to go. I mean, we started last November on Own The Night and we were blown away by the response all throughout this year and this summer, and you really kinda realize what songs translate to a large audience. So, he&rsquo;s officially changed the name to the Virtual Reality World Tour 2012. He said the tour name &ldquo;needed to reflect what the fans were going to see.&rdquo; Brad has always used technology and hi-res visual effects to entertain fans, and he&rsquo;s learned that big screens play an important role. &ldquo;That is such an important part, I just have to have that because it becomes a part of the show when you&rsquo;re playing these places where people are a hundred something yards away from you at times.&rdquo; The newly-renamed Virtual Reality World Tour 2012 launches next week and features The Band Perry and Scotty McCreery.</span>
