1. McManus: A kinder, gentler Romney

It's a safe bet that President Obama misses the old Mitt Romney — the one who described himself as "severely conservative."
It's a safe bet that President Obama misses the old Mitt Romney — the one who described himself as "severely conservative." In their first debate in Denver, Romney outflanked the president by assuming the role of Moderate Mitt, a sweet-tempered...

13. 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' a luxe example of '50s cinema

The teaming of Jane Russell and Marilyn Monroe in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" was a combination so potent it can only be described with an inappropriately long wolf whistle, so much so that even a fussbudget such as New York Times film critic Bosley Crowther couldn't resist devoting a few lines in his 1953 review to the pair's physical attributes. He actually backdoors his way into the observation, couching it in a line of dialogue from the film ("Those girls couldn't drown!") before arriving at the conclusion that "there is not much class in this picture." It seems you can't have your cheesecake and eat it too.

19. EXCLUSIVE: Site Of Drake/Chris Brown Melee Shutdown By NYPD [VIDEO]

Patrons waiting to get into trendy SoHo hotspots, W.i.P. and Greenhouse Saturday night, got a rude awakening, when the NYPD showed up and shut them down for code violations. They can thank the Drake/Chris Brown melee of last Thursday for putting the kibosh on whatever party plans they may have had then -- and for the foreseeable future.

"Bachelor Pad's" second to last episode was last night. While thrilled that "Bachelor Pad" was the perfect segue between the Summer Olympics and football, we're none to happy about the scheduling of the finale -- the same time as the Ravens' first game.
