  15. Flyers Shake Up Roster with Trades and Goalie Signing

The Flyers were swept out of the playoffs by the eventual Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins. Despite a stellar regular season record, the Flyers decide it's time to shake things up and trade their Captain Mike Richards and Assistant Captain Jeff Carter. Richards is sent to the Los Angeles Kings and Carter is dealt to the Columbus Blue Jackets. The team gets talented prospects and draft picks in return. The biggest prize is the signing of former Phoenix Coyotes Goalie Ilya Bryzgalov to a 9-year, 51 million dollar contract. Philly had a 3-goalie system in the postseason that did not work out.
