    Donald E. Saylor of Washington, Mich., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Sunrise Assisted Living in Shelby Township, Mich. at the age of 85. He was born Dec. 19, 1926, in Berlin. Donald was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Force and Ford Motor Co. Retiree. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Helen (nee Ogline). Dear father of John Saylor and Jane (Gary) Sierpien. Loving grandfather of Jill (Sean) O'Neill, Dylan Saylor and James (Elizabeth) Sierpien. Adoring great-grandfather of Jacob, Benjamin and Delaney O'Neill and Adelynn Sierpien. Dear brother of Lois (William) Wolfersberger and Franklin (Janet) Saylor. Donald is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Cleveland and Rachel (nee Paul) Saylor and eight siblings. Visitation will be held Wednesday 3 to 9 p.m. at the Wasik Funeral Home Inc. 49150 Schoenherr Road (north of 22 Mile Rd.) Shelby Township. Visitation will also be held on Friday, Feb. 3, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. with a Funeral Service Saturday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset. Interment at the Berlin IOOF Cemetery with military rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard. Memorial Donations may be address to the Hospices of Henry Ford, One Ford Place-5A, Detroit, Michigan 48202.
