  21. Heritage Academy stages 'A Party ... to Murder'

The Heritage Academy drama class, under the direction of Shelly Rohrbaugh, produced “A Party ... to Murder” on Nov. 18 and 19. Students were in charge of lighting, sound, and set design and construction. Auditions, which were held the second week of school, were open to those outside of the drama class, as well. The story, a murder mystery that showed the consequences of greed and deceit, was set in the 1930s. To better portray that time period, the set and costumes were done in black and white. Heritage board member Charles Horn Jr. of Horn Electric in Frederick, Md., supplied a 1928 Model A truck for display outside the building. Heritage Principal Hunter Powell said, "It is good to see so many students involved each year in our major drama production. Over 36 students participated in putting forth a top-rated production."
