5. Big Ben injured in 17-10 loss to Texans

HOUSTON (AP) — Ben Roethlisberger can take a hit.
AP Sports Writer
HOUSTON (AP) — Ben Roethlisberger can take a hit. But even a 6-foot-5, 241-pound guy has a tough time dealing with the beating he’s endured this year. The quarterback left Houston in a walking boot on his left foot after he was sacked five...

9. Ravens still wary of Johnson-less Texans

The Houston Texans appeared like a different team without five-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Andre Johnson in their 25-20 loss to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

11. Sunday could test friendship between Pollard, Daniels

Ravens safety Bernard Pollard has tangled with too many tight ends and pass-catching running backs to recall. But his toughest assignment may take place Sunday when Owen Daniels and the Houston Texans visit M&T Bank Stadium.

13. Ravens notes: Evans, Carr, J. Smith, Zbikowski to miss Sunday's game

The Ravens had hoped the bye week would allow them to get healthy, but they'll enter Sunday's game against the Houston Texans still without several key contributors.

15. Jeff Zrebiec's Ravens-Texans scouting report

RAVENS RUN OFFENSE VS. TEXANS RUN DEFENSE: Fullback Vonta Leach, who spent four seasons with the Texans, has undoubtedly given his Ravens’ teammates and coaches plenty of advice on how to run the ball against Houston. The Texans’ rush defense is surrendering 105.8 yards a game, which puts it 12th in the NFL. Houston did slow the Oakland Raiders’ Darren McFadden last week, holding him to 51 yards on 16 carries. Ravens coach John Harbaugh said that that team talked extensively this week about its identity, and maintaining an aggressive approach. Expect that to include a heavy dose of Ray Rice, who rushed for only 54 yards against the Texans last season but did catch eight passes for 66 yards. The Ravens are ninth in the league in rushing, averaging 123.8 yards per game. They got their ground game going late in the victory over the New York Jets, running on 11 straight plays at one point. The Ravens could get a boost if left guard Ben Grubbs returns after missing three weeks with a toe injury. Linebackers Brian Cushing and DeMeco Ryans are the Texans’ top tacklers.

17. Ravens taking notice of Texans' two-headed attack at tight end

The Ravens drafted Ed Dickson and Dennis Pitta last season with the hope of developing a dual-pronged attack at tight end. Some might say that The Houston Texans, Sunday’s opponent, have already achieved that in Owen Daniels and Joel Dreessen. A...

19. Mike Preston's matchups: Ravens vs. Texans

Ravens S Bernard Pollard vs. Texans TE Owen Daniels: They know each other from a season ago. Pollard will be starting in place of Tom Zbikowski, and Daniels should get plenty of action with wide receiver Andre Johnson out with an injury. Daniels has 21 receptions for 271 yards and a team-best three touchdowns. Pollard has six tackles and would like nothing better than to beat his former team. Edge: Daniels.
