1. Don't expect major changes yet on Ravens' offensive line

Because of the poor performance by the offensive tackles against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, there had been some speculation that the Ravens might choose to start Bryant McKinnie at left tackle over Michael Oher and move Oher to the right side to replace rookie Kelechi Osemele. But that won't happen against the Cowboys on Sunday unless someone is really getting dominated.

RED-ZONE SUCCESS The first full-team exercise involved the offense starting from inside the defense’s 20-yard line. The first offense fared well, scoring touchdowns on four of nine snaps. The second offense scored twice on 10 snaps, including back-to-back touchdown passes from quarterback Tyrod Taylor to wide receivers LaQuan Williams and Dorian Graham.

Matt Birk's goals at first were simple. There was no thought of having a long and productive NFL career. He had no visions of making Pro Bowl teams or annually competing for championships.

  7. Ravens news, notes and opinions

With all the talk about quarterback Joe Flacco and this up-tempo offense, I really hope Pro Bowl fullback Vonta Leach doesn’t get overlooked. If you get a chance to watch a tape of Monday’s game, check out the block Leach makes on Ray Rice’s 7-yard touchdown run. And while you are at it, review pretty much every one of Rice’s runs and watch what Leach does in front of him. Leach is considered by most NFL pundits as the best fullback in the NFL and he was all over the field Monday, even catching three balls for 18 yards. You could almost hear the audible groan in the crowd last year on those Flacco to Leach dump-offs. However, in the preseason and through Week One, the combination has been pretty productive. And it is always entertaining to watch the burly fullback turn the corner and lower his shoulder on a defensive back.
