    Marvin Woodrum, 73, husband of Mary K. Woodrum, died Monday, Oct. 29, at the Hospice Care Center, Saint Joseph Hospital. Born in Liberty, he was a son of Mary F. Woodrum of Wilmore and the late Arthur Lee Woodrum. He retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company as a department supervisor in 1990 after 28 years of service and then retired from Community Trust Bank in 2010, where he had served as a courier for 18 years.&nbsp; He was a member and former vice president of the Woodford County Jaycees, was an avid golfer and Big Blue fan, and&nbsp; was known for his speed and proved it with his in-park home runs with the RJ Reynolds softball team.&nbsp; He was a member and deacon of Versailles Baptist Church and had served as an usher and assistant church treasurer. His love of family and faith was most important to him. His friends knew he cared by a hand on their shoulder and his handshake. In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include his loving daughter, Tammy and husband Jim Parrett of Versailles; two brothers, Garnett and wife Lynne Woodrum of Versailles, and Kenneth Woodrum of Wilmore; four sisters, Bonnie and husband John Chasteen of Versailles, Shirley and husband Wayne Holland of Lawrenceburg, Carol and husband Steve Monroe of Frankfort, and Wilma and husband David Gibson of Nicholasville; four grandchildren, David Michael Powell, Jeffrey Kurt Collins, Michelle Leigh Brumley and Kristin Collins; and one great-grandchild, Keegan Powell. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Lee Woodrum; a brother, Charles Woodrum; and a sister, Connie Woodrum. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at Versailles Baptist Church with the Rev. John Brandon officiating. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Rose Crest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garnett Woodrum, Kenneth Woodrum, David Michael Powell, Jeffrey Kurt Collins, Tim Lester and Jim Parrett. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest &ldquo;Tip&rdquo; Whitus, Ches Nell, Bob Daniels, Lyle Craycroft and Bob Hunter.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.&nbsp; Blackburn &amp; Ward Funeral Home is handling arrangements. www.BlackburnandWard.com.
