  3. Spotlight On Brian Kozlowski

    Played at UConn from 1989-92 and quickly became a true freshman starter. He would start 43 consecutive games at tight end for the Huskies. His playing size was 6 feet 3, 265 pounds. 
The Webster, N.Y., native was reliable and durable. He played in the NFL from 1993-2007 and played in a Super Bowl as a fullback. Though his numbers have certainly never been eye-opening, Kozlowski's name will live in UConn lore forever. The Brian Kozlowski Award, is given annually to a player who best represents Kozlowski's traits: effort, hard work and dedication.  Cornerback Robert McClain won it in 2009. As a senior, Kozlowski caught 43 passes for 526 yards and a touchdown.
