    The Hokies overcame a slow start on Monday night against Mississippi Valley State to beat the Delta Devils 70 to 49, improving to 8 and 1 on the season, and bouncing back from Saturday's loss to West Virginia.  Erick Green led the way with 23 points, becoming the first Tech player since Bimbo Coles in 1989 to score 20 or more points in 9 straight games.
