The classroom, stocked with laptops, globes and books, as well as supplies for art and make-believe, is part of Martha’s Table, a 33-year-old Washington, D.C. charity that each day feeds 1,100 people, many of them homeless, and runs preschool and afterschool programs for children from poor families.
