    When Congressman Duncan Hunter Jr. speaks on matters of defense, people listen. No matter your political persuasion, the congressman has a ton of insight. We here in the Valley are more likely to remember his father, who represented us in Congress for many years. Duncan 1 was a stalwart proponent of defense and served as chairman of the House Armed Services Committee for many years. Duncan 2, a congressman for only a short time, combines a lifetime of learning from his father with actual frontline experience.
