  5. Searching The Ballot For Worthy Republicans

    The Hartford Courant
Let me tell you something you don't know about me. I'm itchin' to vote for a Republican. This is really true. I mostly vote Democratic, but it seems healthier to me to occasionally cast a vote the other way. I don't like being a knee-jerk Democrat. Or...

Politicians haven't always been allergic to gun control, not even Republicans.
Politicians haven't always been allergic to gun control, not even Republicans. In 1968, after the assassinations of John and Robert Kennedy and the Rev.Martin Luther King Jr., Congress — on a bipartisan vote — outlawed guns sales to felons...

  19. Democrats Make Naked Grab For Top Ballot Position

Republicans won the top line on ballots fair and square, a unanimous state Supreme Court said last September. But last week, Democrats in the General Assembly began a power grab to reverse the court's 7-0 ruling and take back the top line —...

  21. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy?

If Caroline Kennedy were simply a lawyer and author, it's doubtful that she would be on any president's short list for a major diplomatic appointment. But Kennedy is also a member of a storied American political family and an early and valued supporter of Barack Obama's presidential ambitions.
