1. Hermain Cain's Crisis Management Dilemma

The most important word during a controversy is "pivot." Ask any political advisor or strategist about the significance of changing the message back to a candidate's talking points and they will tell you that when a candidate understands this, they are then on the road to victory.

  3. Rudy Giuliani Still Undecided In Race For White House

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who made an unsuccessful run for President in 2008, is still considering giving it another shot next year. In an exclusive local television interview on "PIX 11 Newscloseup," Giuliani declared, "I'm not ready to make a decision." He said he would decide one way or another within two months and vowed not to make any announcements that would coincide with the tenth anniversary of the attacks of Sept. 11.

  9. McManus: A boomlet of Perrymania

For a man who hasn't formally decided whether to run for president, Texas Gov. Rick Perry sure sounds a lot like a candidate. "I'm not ready to tell you that I'm ready to announce that I'm in," Perry told the Des Moines Register, the biggest newspaper in...

  11. Television takes on 9/11 amid its 10th anniversary

Every once in a while, a fire truck will pass by Rudolph Giuliani's window, and the former New York mayor will flash back to that dreadful day when he had to drop everything and rush to ground zero. "It's just hard to hear it and not react," he said in an interview. "I don't know if that will ever change — some things will always trigger the memories."

  13. Critic's Notebook: 9/11-related TV programs to watch

The 10th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon arrives a week from Sunday — I don't think I need to tell you the date — and as might be expected, television is all over it. Our decimal culture encourages comment, celebration or reflection whenever 10 years go by, but there is something about this anniversary that makes it practically inescapable. It is especially inescapable, one might say, now that the death of Osama bin Laden and the upcoming dedication of a memorial that transforms the footprint of the missing Twin Towers into inverted fountains have brought the narrative that began Sept. 11, 2001, to something like a close — though there are volumes left to be written.

  15. TV networks plan 9/11 anniversary specials

Several TV networks will commemorate the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, with news specials, live coverage from Ground Zero, films and special episodes of scripted series. Many of those specials begin this week, and I've tried to list all the major anniversary programs below. I'll update the list as more are announced. Date/times are subject to change, so consult your local TV listings. All times listed are Central, and descriptions from network press releases.
