— A sun-fest it was not.

  13. There's no pinning this guy down

Billy Corgan wears many hats. He's the singer/songwriter for The Smashing Pumpkins. He is a poet and owns a tea shop (Madame Zuzu's in Highland Park). And, since 2011, he has been the self-described creative director for Resistance Pro wrestling. Corgan orchestrates storylines for monthly events that blend wrestling and entertainment. The following is an edited version of a conversation with Corgan.

  15. Hooked on trout

From my view knee deep in the river, real food looked like this: A swift current charged down Utah's Weber, and beyond the stream bright yellow alfalfa, and beyond that a reservoir holding sun-stunned water from the immense snowmelt two seasons ago. It was a blue-ribbon stream, three thousand brown trout per river mile. A teasing impression of plenty.

  19. Dream home: Renovated home gathers family to the farm

When hearth and home — together with a growing family and an onsite family business — are at the center of day-to-day living, a small and dated one-story farmhouse in Ellicott City begins to burst at the seams. To keep their extended family under one roof while preserving the one-bathroom house built in 1954, the Harbin and Taylor families found the only solution was to build additions.
