3. Heather Locklear released from LA-area hospital

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - (AP) -- Actress Heather Locklear was released Friday from a hospital after she was treated in the intensive care unit for an unknown ailment. She was discharged in the afternoon, Los Robles Hospital spokeswoman Kris Carraway-Bowman told The Associated Press. The 50-year-old "Melrose Place" actress was hospitalized Thursday. The hospital in the Los Angeles suburb of Thousand Oaks said earlier in the day that Locklear was medically stable and being cared for one-on-one in the ICU. Paramedics transported her from her home in Westlake Village, 35 miles northwest of Los Angeles. Locklear has been hospitalized several times over the years. In 2009, she pleaded no contest to reckless driving after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication. Locklear also starred in such TV series as "Dynasty" and "T.J. Hooker." Her engagement to "Melrose Place" co-star Jack Wagner recently ended. She was previously married to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, and they have a daughter together.

  5. Heather Locklear Hospitalized

<span style="font-size: small;">Friday the 13th may just turn out to be Heather Locklear's lucky day after all. Though the former Melrose Place star was taken by ambulance to a hospital yesterday where she remained overnight, a hospital spokeswoman released a statement allaying fan (and family) fears saying that the actress "is in no danger." "Heather's family wants her fans to know that she is doing well," the spokeswoman for the Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center in Thousand Oaks said last night, shortly after Locklear's admission to the emergency room. "She is out of harm's way…she is in no danger." The 50-year-old was taken from her home in Westlake Village to the facility after her sister placed a frantic 911 call saying she feared her famous sibling might harm herself. Paramedics responded and determined on sight that the actress did indeed require some medical evaluation. Reports quickly emerged that a mix of prescription drugs and alcohol caused the episode, though they remain unconfirmed. In any case, Locklear is said to be resting comfortably and due to be further evaluated today before any release, though her family is hopeful for a quick recovery from whatever it is that ailed her. "They're looking forward to her getting very, very well again and bringing her home," Carraway-Bowman said.

Overall John raised more than a million dollars for the hospital this season and he says the fundraising won’t stop now. “I’ll raise money for St. Jude ‘til the day I die. You know, Randy Owen from Alabama really is the great-granddaddy of country singers to raise money for St. Jude. He started it 25, 30 years ago. I think country music as a genre’s approaching a billion dollars that they’re responsible for, for raising money for that hospital. So, I’m a miniscule part of that, but I definitely want to do my part.” John performed his song, “For The Kids” on the live Apprentice finale. He wrote the song in honor of St. Jude families and all proceeds from the download of the single on iTunes will go toward the Memphis hospital.
