13. Crime & Punishment: Drunk, Naked Man Screams at Wendy's Employees in Manchester

Two Connecticut libraries are seriously considering how to handle visits from furries, the subculture of people who dress in anthropomorphic animal costumes. The Hartford Courant reports that the concern started when a fully costumed furry walked into the Enfield Public Library and a "child took one of their 'paws,' just like they would at Disney World, without hesitation," according to a post by library director Henry Dutcher on a listserv site for librarians. The furry didn't have any malicious intentions, but the incident got Dutcher thinking about how such outfits could be used by abductors to lure children. Portland Public Library Director Janet Nocek brought up the issue at a meeting of the library's board of directors, where she reaffirmed the building's dress code. "Face coverings at the library are not permitted, except for religious reasons," she said, adding, "We're not picking on furries."
