    The TV Zone
HBO's 1992 bonanza: "Dangerous" Does anyone remember 1995? HBO does. MTV and ABC, too. This was the year that perhaps the single biggest event in HBO history disappeared in an afternoon; the year MTV was embarrassed with an on-line......

"Steve Harvey" is not everyone's cup of afternoon tea.
"Steve Harvey" is not everyone's cup of afternoon tea. Devotees of, say, "The Colbert Report" will find "Harvey's" right-down-the-middle humor uninspiring. Funny newspaper headlines and jokes about how men behave versus how women behave — where...

  9. Leslie Zemeckis sashays into the history of burlesque

During the shabby final days of the last of the burlesque houses that once dotted State Street near Congress Parkway, three of us — in possession of a few bucks and self-confidence fueled by fake IDs — entered the Follies Theater and saw a show that featured, among long-forgotten performers, a dancer named April Showers.

  15. Why Carlos Zambrano was one of my hardest interviews

The night before I was supposed to cover Carlos Zambrano&rsquo;s Big Z Foundation launch party in early 2010, I came down with a case of food poisoning. All I wanted to do was lie in bed with a garbage can at my side. I was in no mood to talk &ndash; well, other than yelling &ldquo;Take me now, God.&rdquo; And the last thing I wanted to do was think about food, which would be difficult seeing how the party was at Fogo de Chao.

  19. Yes, another surly Harrison Ford interview

If getting reamed by the notoriously grumpy <strong><span class=&quot;runtimeTopic">Harrison Ford</span></strong> is a rite of passage for entertainment reporters, you could say I was finally initiated into the club March 18. 21. 'Bitter Buddha': Spotlight's a bit brighter on pair's return

The last time I spoke with comedian Eddie Pepitone was June, just prior to the world premiere of his movie <a href=&quot;http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-06-14/entertainment/ct-mov-0615-chicago-closeup-20120615_1_bitter-buddha-lincoln-lodge-comedian">"The Bitter Buddha" in Chicago</a>, where it screened during the Just For Laughs festival. Nine months and several tour stops later, he and director Steven Feinartz (a Buffalo Grove native) return to town this weekend on a triumphant wave of social media fervor. Both will be at the Music Box Theatre on Friday, with Pepitone performing a set Saturday at the Lincoln Lodge.

  23. Daum: Jodie Foster comes out -- as human

It's the news the nation's been trying to digest all week (at least before Lance Armstrong made everyone lose their lunch): Jodie Foster, one of the industry's most cool and collected figures, is capable of being a rambling mess.
