21. Mark Gonzales' White Sox mailbag

I'm curious why Brandon Short and Christian Marrero didn't get called up in September. I knew of Addison Reed because I was watching his stats early on. I'm baffled by some decisions, particularly regarding these two players. Even Kevan Smith should have gotten a look at the majors, considering his stats and his age coming out of college. He only hit .478 or thereabouts on the way to the Voyagers' title. Trayce Thompson is still a year or two away; his strike zone needs to be studied. I might as well add Hector Santiago, Greg Infante and Charlie Leesman -- instead of the rotations of Kinney, Lindsay, and Bruney. -- Demosthenes Papaeliou
