  1. Shelton To Organize Oklahoma Tornado Benefit

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">At the end of 'The Voice,' Blake Shelton revealed that he's working with NBC to organize a benefit concert for the victims of the deadly tornado in Moore, Oklahoma. The singer -- who calls the state home -- couldn't offer many details, but said it would be televised and happen soon. "We'll know more about it in the next 24 hours," Shelton told Billboard. "I'm hoping it will raise a lot of money. Obviously it will be televised and will happen really quickly." The 'Boys 'Round Here' singer grew up in Ada, Okla., 75 miles from Moore. He wouldn't name any other artists who've agreed to play, but his music industry connections should make it easy to assemble an A-list lineup. He's married to Miranda Lambert, managed by Reba McEntire's husband, is great friends with Kelly Clarkson and works with Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Shakira and Christina Aguilera on the show. None of those artists are as of yet thought to be participating, but Shelton did point to fellow 'The Voice' mentor Usher while saying, "I can call in some really big favors." Tuesday's episode of 'The Voice' opened in silence after a one-hour NBC special on the monstrous tornado that killed 24 people Monday afternoon. Shelton and Lambert performed an acoustic tribute to the victims as information on how to donate scrolled across the screen. They sang Lambert's 2012 hit 'Over You.'</span>

  2. Blake Shelton Wins "The Voice" Again

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Blake Shelton is the reigning champ of NBC&rsquo;s The Voice, as his team took home the winning title for a second consecutive season. Both &ldquo;Team Blake&rdquo; members - Cassadee Pope and Terry McDermott &ndash; were announced as the Top 2 finalists, beating &ldquo;Team Cee Lo&rdquo; contestant, Nicholas David. It was Cassadee who was crowned The Voice, after singing Faith Hill&rsquo;s &ldquo;Cry,&rdquo; during the finals. Blake couldn&rsquo;t be happier to shine light on new artists like Cassadee, and he does not take his position as a judge for granted. &ldquo;How many people would love to stand up here talking about the stuff I&rsquo;m talking about and every time I sit in one of those chairs &ndash; and see those people on that stage that want this. It&rsquo;s humbling you know? It&rsquo;s good for ya.&rdquo; Blake will be back to judge the next season of The Voice along with Adam Levine.     <span style=&quot;line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; font-size: 14pt;">Wednesday&rsquo;s series finale of <em>NBC</em>&rsquo;s <em>The Voice</em> featured performances by the four finalists and their musical idols. Cee Lo Green&rsquo;s Vicci Martinez shared the stage with Train&rsquo;s Pat Monahan to sing &ldquo;Drops of Jupiter&rdquo;. Javier Colon from Adam Levine&rsquo;s team sang &ldquo;Landslide&rdquo; with the legendary Stevie Nicks. Christina Aguilera&rsquo;s Beverly McClellan was joined on stage by OneRepublic&rsquo;s Ryan Tedder for his latest single, &ldquo;Good Life&rdquo;. Blake Shelton&rsquo;s finalist Dia Frampton performed &ldquo;The House That Built Me&rdquo; on stage with Miranda Lambert. After watching Dia perform with his wife, Blake told her, <em>&ldquo;You&rsquo;re family to me now and I love you.&rdquo; </em>Blake takes his mentorship with all the past members of his team very seriously. <em>&ldquo;They have my phone number and they can call me anytime, you know? Because, I understand that, you know, it&rsquo;s a lot of pressure that they&rsquo;re under. My thing is lettin&rsquo; them know that they have a friend and they have somebody that will fight for them and be in their corner and pull strings and favors for them when they need it. You know, I think that&rsquo;s as important in this business as anything.&rdquo; </em>At the end, host Carson Daly announced that the top two finalists were Javier and Dia with only 2% of the votes between them. Carson revealed that Javier received the most votes and crowned him the first champion of <em>The Voice</em>. The show&rsquo;s eight finalists will now head out on a summer tour, but the coaches will not be part of the shows.</span>
