  1. Legendary Producer Phil Ramone Dies

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Multiple Grammy Award-winning producer Phil Ramone died Saturday at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He was 79. His son Matt confirmed his father was hospitalized in late February with an aortic aneurysm. Ramone won 14 Grammys and worked with a wide range of artists over his 50 years in the music business, including Ray Charles, Paul Simon, Chicago,Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Barbra Streisand, The Band, Donny Hathaway, Rod Stewart, Tony Bennett, Kenny Loggins, Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, Luciano Pavarotti and Phoebe Snow, among countless others. Ramone&rsquo;s work on Charles&rsquo; Genius Loves Company, Joel&rsquo;s 52nd Street and Simon&rsquo;s Still Crazy After All These Years helped those collections capture Grammys for Album of the Year. Ramone came to the United States from his native South Africa at the age of 10 to study violin at Julliard. At 18, he opened A&amp;R Recording Studios in New York City.</span>

  2. $50 Million For Hurricane Sandy Relief - Benefit Concert On iTunes

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Organizers of last week&rsquo;s 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert have yet to declare the total amount raised, but did announce the first $50 million is ready to be distributed to several organizations working to provide relief for those affected by the storm, the Los Angeles Times reports. The Robin Hood Foundation is in charge of funneling the money the concert raised through ticket sales, merchandise, sponsorships, online auctions of memorabilia and phone and online donations. Also, twenty-four of the finest performances from last week&rsquo;s 12-12-12 Superstorm Sandy relief concerts have been selected for inclusion on 12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief, available now on iTunes, and on CD on January 22. The tracklist includes one song from Paul McCartney, two each from Bruce Springsteen &amp; the E Street Band, Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones, three apiece from The Who and Billy Joel and four from Roger Waters. At least $6.50 from each sale will go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund.</span>

  3. Rolling Stones Confirmed to Perform at 12-12-12 Sandy Relief Concert

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">The already star-packed lineup for this Saturday&rsquo;s 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert at Madison Square Garden in New York added arguably the biggest name in rock on Friday when the Rolling Stones confirmed their participation. The World&rsquo;s Greatest Rock and Roll Band will anchor a lineup that already includes some of the world&rsquo;s top rock acts, including Paul McCartney, The Who, Bruce Springsteen &amp; the E Street Band, Eric Clapton and Roger Waters.     <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">The two biggest names in New Jersey rock history &ndash; Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi &ndash; and Billy Joel, an artist synonymous with New York, are set to headline a fundraising concert for the victims of Hurricane Sandy, airing tonight on NBC at 8p ET (tape-delayed in the West).
