    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">After winning the past two seasons of The Voice, Blake Shelton has announced the next superstar to serve as a mentor for &ldquo;Team Blake.&rdquo; Sheryl Crow will help guide Blake&rsquo;s contestants during the fourth season of the hit show. Sheryl tells Entertainment Tonight that she has &ldquo;been friends with Blake for a few years now,&rdquo; and feels honored to have received the invite.   6. Def Leppard Still At War With Former Label

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Frontman Joe Elliott says Def Leppard&rsquo;s former record label, Universal, should treat the band with more respect because &ldquo;we built their penthouse sushi bar&rdquo;. Leppard are re-recording as much of their back catalog as possible after failing to reach an agreement with Universal over digital releases. And last month the band cut five acoustic songs performed during their Rock Of Ages tour for a medley released to iTunes. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re trying to wrestle back our career and ownership of these songs,&rdquo; said Elliott in an interview in the latest issue of Classic Rock. &ldquo;They [Universal] own the originals, we&rsquo;re at loggerheads with them over the digital rights. And as long as they&rsquo;re playing silly buggers we&rsquo;ll just keep recording them again.&rdquo; The singer continued: &ldquo;Until we can come to some kind of humane conclusion to this ridiculous stand-off, we&rsquo;re going to say: &lsquo;F*** you!&rsquo; Elliott said Universal wouldn&rsquo;t be the major player it is today without the help of Leppard&rsquo;s multi-million-selling releases. &ldquo;Between us and Bon Jovi we f****** built that company,&rdquo; he insisted.</span>

  8. Pink Floyd Drummer Saves UK Music Shop From Closing

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">A UK music shop has a very famous former customer to thank for helping it stay in business. Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason purchased his very first drum kit from Foote&rsquo;s music store in the West End of London in 1958 and now he and the store&rsquo;s sales director have purchased the business from the family who had owned it since the 1930s. Like so many family-owned businesses, the music store was in danger of having to close its doors until Mason came to the rescue. Mason said, &ldquo;After 40 something years of playing, I still have great affection for a real drum shop.&rdquo;</span>

  9. Meatloaf's Final Goodbye To Feature Album In Full

    <span style=&quot;font-size: small;">Meat Loaf will perform his classic album Bat Out Of Hell in full during a UK tour next year &ndash; and he says it&rsquo;s his &ldquo;final goodbye.&rdquo; While the veteran singer has discussed retirement on several occasions over the past five years, it seems the eight concerts in April are to be his last appearances on stage in the UK at least. The first half of each show will consist of a career-spanning track selection, then the second half will see the vocalist delivering the iconic 1977 album in its entirety. Meat Loaf says: &ldquo;When Jim Steinman and I first came together, we couldn&rsquo;t have dreamt the profound effect Bat Out of Hell would have on our lives, and the lives of our fans around the world. &ldquo;This show promises to be an exciting event. I know the fans will enjoy the show as much as I enjoyed putting it together.&rdquo; The vocalist passed out on stage twice during a tour in 2011 and earlier this year underwent knee surgery.</span>

    <strong>Tim McGraw</strong>&rsquo;s former label home,&nbsp;<em>Curb Records&nbsp;</em>will release a compilation disc from the singer titled,&nbsp;<em>Tim McGraw &amp; Friends</em>. It will feature duets from Tim and some of his pals, such as&nbsp;<strong>Gwyneth Paltrow</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Lionel Richie</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Kenny Rogers&nbsp;</strong>and his wife,&nbsp;<strong>Faith Hill</strong>. The song &ldquo;Twisted&rdquo; featuring&nbsp;<strong>Colt Ford<em>&nbsp;</em></strong>is also on the project, and was a track on Colt&rsquo;s 2011 album,&nbsp;<em>Every Chance I Get</em>.
