    Great Bend had a number of advantages over second-year team Goddard-Eisenhower in Tuesday’s Class 5A, Southeast regional opener. The Panthers had home field advantage, a larger roster, and four times as many wins on the year.     Even through Great Bend and Liberal play in the same small conference, seeing each other at least twice a year on the soccer pitch, it’s hard to call that relationship a rivalry when Liberal has won every meeting in the 12 years since the Panthers adopted a soccer program. Great Bend is not alone: Liberal has won 11 straight Western Athletic Conference titles. Thursday evening, Great Bend took a huge step forward, handing the Redskins a 3-0 loss at Cavanaugh Field.
