    <b><i>Q: Allentown seems to be pushing forward with proposed bicycle-lane 'improvements' that concern many residents and businesspeople along the affected routes. Officials want to eliminate traffic lanes on parts of Linden and Turner streets, which would be bad enough any time, but will cause gridlock when hockey arena traffic is added. I think the city has dramatically underestimated the effects of these bike lanes on traffic flow and parking availability. Many more motorists will be affected negatively than bicycle riders who will benefit. The public has to get involved with this before the city goes too far with it. Can you help us get the word out?</i></b>

    Vivian Claudette Adams, 69, wife of Don Adams, of Hall Road, Nicholasville, formerly of Georgetown, died Oct. 13 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Gertrude Delph O&rsquo;Neal Johnson and her stepfather, John Henry Johnson. Additional survivors include her children, Don Allen Adams, James Keith Adams, Ronnie Dale Adams, John Lee Adams, Charles Douglas Adams, Clifton Eugene Adams, Jackie Keltner, Norma Jean Adams, Debbie and husband David Davis, Donna and husband Mike Lauderback, Francis Lynn Alexander, and Dorothy and husband Patrick Brown; 30 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brothers Freddie O&rsquo;Neal and Junior O&rsquo;Neal; and sisters Kim Jordan and Johnetta Ventos. She was preceded in death by a son, Jessie Leroy Thornton; and a grandchild, Johnathan Bartlett. Services were at 1 p.m. Sunday at Betts &amp; West Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Durham officiating. Burial followed in the Adams Family Cemetery. Visitation was from 5-9 p.m. Saturday. Bearers were Donald &ldquo;Deeder&rdquo; Adams, Billy &ldquo;Joey&rdquo; Adams, David K. Davis II, Rickey L. Wheeler Jr., James Keith Adams Jr.,Victor Whitaker, Danny White and Steve Durham. Honorary bearers will be Bobby W. Adams, Larry Alexander Jr., Tyler S. Adams, Ryan Keltner, Chester Mullins Jr., Dillian M. Adams, Hayden McCarty and Tommy Sayre.&nbsp; www.BettsandWestfuneralhome.com.
