  1. Clark dozen attend 4-H Teen Summit

    Twelve Clark County students attended the 4-H Teen Summit recently at the Lake Cumberland 4-H Leadership Center in Jabez. The summit is a leadership conference for middle school-aged youth from across the state. Students participated in teamwork activities, workshops, funshops, an ice cream social, a dance and listened to keynote speaker, Brandon Lee White. Those attending were, front row from left, Rachel Sames, Allison Fink, Koty Hall; second row, nnie McGrew, Callie Moore, Mae Hammond, Keturah Cook; and back row, Sierra White, Baylee Pharis, Tom Spencer, Stephen Skaggs and Cacia Rose.

    A School District of Lancaster middle school teacher has been indicted on Federal drug charges.  28 year old Alynne Hanson, a Communications Arts teacher at Lincoln Middle School is among 13 people indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for selling cocaine.   7. 13 People Indicted on Federal Drug Trafficking Charges in Lancaster County

    A Federal Grand Jury sitting in Lancaster handed up indictments against 13 people for alledgedly running a major drug operation.  The indictment accuses the group of buying wholesale quantities of illegal drugs from suppliers in New York, Philadelphia and elsewhere for resale in and around Lancaster and Harrisburg. From 2005 until 2011, the group allegedly distributed more than 40 pounds of crack cocaine and about 20 pounds of powdered cocaine.  Most customers orders for crack were received and deliveries coordinated via cell phone. Investigators say the crack and cocaine ring operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
