1. George Goes "Strait" To Top Of Charts

<span style="font-size: small;">Not only has George Strait secured his 60th #1 hit with “Give It All We Got Tonight,” he also has the #1 country album this week with Love Is Eveything! The project has four songs that “King George” had a hand in writing, but he says his latest chart topper was a song he could not live without. “The first time I heard it, I thought, ‘Hmm…that’s a great song. A little different for me, you know? A little risqué kinda, you know I’m thinking, ‘I don’t know if I can pull this off or not.’ But I just love it. I mean, it’s…like I said, it’s a little different. The melody’s a little different. Great lyrics. It’s kind of about parking, you know? Which I’ve done a few times, you know, back in the early days.” After selling over 119,000 copies in the first week, George also claimed the #2 spot on Billboard’s Top 200 chart with Love Is Everything. George has become the first artist in history to score 60 #1 singles.

<span style="font-size: small;">Kenny Chesney’s latest album, Life On A Rock, has struck a chord with fans - it debuted as the #1 album on the Billboard country music charts – and the Top 200 Albums chart! And that goes against all conventional wisdom and all the thinking in our business! You know what I mean? It really does. But it allowed me to be really honest with my fans and tell them stories and open up some doors that I haven’t — and that felt really good.
