    <strong>Q: Our association is in the process of updating our rules and regulations. One of our proposed revisions is increasing the fine to $250 for an owner who parks in a handicap space without the required state permit. This will be identical to the state penalty for doing this. We also propose increasing our regular fine structure to higher amounts. These fines have not been increased in over 19 years. An example is, a fine of $25 would increase to $45. We were told that these proposed fines may not be upheld in court. What are your thoughts on this?</strong>
