Clay Fire investigates wood pile fire (July 12, 2012)

A fire Wednesday night that spread from a wood pile to a garage is under investigation.

Clay Fire Territory firefighters were called to a house in the 17000 block of Parker Drive just before 7:30 p.m. on a report of a wood pile on fire. As firefighters arrived, they found a pile of wood on fire next to a garage with fire spreading to the garage.

The fire was put out quickly. The outside garage wall was damaged and the house had minor smoke damage, according to a fire department news release from Battalion Chief Robert Wood.

Everyone in the house escaped without injury.
