A Winamac hairstylist upheld her end of the deal, Tuesday evening, when she agreed to shave her head for charity.
Emily Larkin stole the show during halftime at a Winamac High School basketball game, when her sister Christina, also a hairstylist, clipped off Emily’s shoulder length blond hair.
"I kind of like it!" Larkin said, moments after she lost her locks.
Emily raised close to $5,000 for Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. That same hospital diagnosed Christina with stage 4 Hodgkin’s when she was a kid, and told her she'd probably never be able to have children of her own.
Christina, now an adult with two kids, beat the odds, and when Emily saw a fundraiser website offering an opportunity to help the hospital, she says she couldn't resist.
