Elkhart Central High School is mourning the loss of a teacher killed in a two-vehicle crash late Tuesday afternoon west of Goshen.
Police say 60-year-old Michael Failor of Fort Wayne was killed and another person sent to a hospital after a two-vehicle crash at County Road 15 and County Road 32.
It happened at an intersection that neighbors are telling WSBT has a questionable safety record.
The crash happened just before 5 p.m. Police say Failor's Chevy HHR was headed south on C.R.15 and failed to yield to the SUV, driven westbound C.R. 32 by 34-year-old Joseph Martin.
Martin, of South Bend, was taken to Elkhart General Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries, say police.
