Police say a 24-year-old mother was arraigned Friday on OWI and child neglect charges for leaving her 2-year-old home alone while she was driving around. They say this is the second time she’s been arrested this year for something like this.
In July a child was in the vehicle with Hollyann McBride of Sturgis when she was stopped and arrested for driving under the influence, according to the Sturgis Police Department
The latest incident happened on Thursday when McBride was stopped and arrested just before 9 p.m. Officers later learned she had left her child home alone.
McBride’s bond has been set at $6,500 cash or 10 percent surety.
