SOUTH BEND — A convenience store at 3101 W. Ford St. was robbed at gun point around 8 p.m. Friday.
According to South Bend police, a man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, black leather jacket, a ball cap and a mask over his face, entered the store displaying a handgun.
He grabbed an unknown amount of cash from the register, as well as the counter and fled the store.
More than 50 students were injured -- including a driver who had to be airlifted to the hospital where he is in fair to serious condition -- in a crash involving multiple school buses on State Road 13 in North Webster.
