SOUTH BEND – You can help save a life today by donating some of your time and some of your blood.
The South Bend Police Department is hosting its Fallen Officers Blood Drive today. South Bend Police Officer Ray Wolfenbarger is organizing the event.
Sgt. Wolfenbarger knows the precious value of blood donations. He was shot three times while on duty in 2001.
47 units of blood were used during his recovery.
The drive goes from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the South Bend Police Department.
