The victory earned the Knights a spot in the 8:30 p.m. championship game against either Andrean or Western.
After struggling through the first 21/2 quarters, Marian scored the last 10 points of the third quarter to pull away from a deadlock. The Knights made that run with standout Demetrius Jackson (who finished with 13 points) taking a breather on the bench.
The Hornets pecked away at the double-digit lead, getting the difference down to three with 3:20 left in the game, but Mischler fueled a 12-2 run with six points that put the game out of reach. Drew Hasler added 14 points for the Knights.
Wallace outrebounded Marian 21-12 in the first half, which allowed the game to stay close. Charles Cooper had 20 points and Leon May had 15 points and 13 boards.
