Health screenings will be available Saturday at some barbershops in the City of South Bend.
The Indiana Commission on the Social Status of Black Males is sponsoring the 2012 Indiana Black Barbershop Health Initiative, a statewide endeavor to educate males — particularly African-American males — about the importance of regular testing and disease prevention.
Health screenings will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (April 28) at:
- Image Hair Studio, 244-H S. Oliver Ave.;
- Cutrageous Barbershop, 2002 Kendall St.;
- Cutrageous Barbershop, 2921 W. Sample Ave.;
- Wigfall’s Barbershop, 1131 W. Washington St.;
- Al’s House of Style, 618 N. Olive St.;
- The Perfect Touch, 2821 W. Western Ave.
