GRANGER – Funeral arrangements have been made for the victims of an accidental drowning in Granger late last week.
55-year-old David Prentkowski and his 18-month-old granddaughter Charlotte Chelminiak were found in the family pool Thursday.
Formal autopsy results will not be available for several weeks, but police say there were no signs of foul play.
Prentkowski was undergoing chemo for pancreatic cancer and it's not known if that was a factor.
Visitation for Prentkowski will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Palmer Funeral home on Cleveland Road in South Bend.
A joint funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Basilica on Notre Dame's campus. Prentkowski had been the food service director at Notre Dame since 1990.
