PHOTOS: Fatal crash in Granger
Police say the young man who died in a crash on State Road 23 in Granger Sunday morning is 18-year-old James Reeder -- a student from Lawrence, Michigan who was due to graduate Sunday afternoon. Lieutenant Matt Blank of the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department says information gathered at the scene shows the southbound pickup crossed the center line into the path of a northbound semi carrying thousands of gallons of fuel. Firefighters were able to keep flames confined to the cab and away from the tanker.
